Brittany King, whose voice has been described as “vibrant,” “angelic,” and “first-class” (CharlesHutch Press), enjoys a versatile career performing new and traditional oratorio, opera, and concert work. The Canadian soprano’s deep passion and connection to sacred work have made her a sought-after collaborator in the United Kingdom's choral and concert society circles. Brittany has performed as a soloist in Handel’s Messiah, Bach’s Christmas Oratorio, Haydn’s Creation, Handel's Dixit Dominus, and Vivaldi's Gloria on numerous occasions in the UK Cathedrals of York Minster, Salisbury, Worcester, Gloucester, and Coventry. In Canada, she has performed Schubert’s Benedictus - Mass in G major, Bach’s Magnificat, Saint-Saëns Symphony No.3, and Orff’s Carmina Burana.
Equally at home as an operatic artist, roles include Pitti-Sing in Gilbert & Sullivans' The Mikado, Blanche from Poulenc’s Dialogues of the Carmelites, Sister Genovieffa in Puccini’s Suor Angelica, and Despina in Mozart’s Cosi fan Tutte.
Formerly based in Toronto, Brittany recently moved to the UK, where she now makes her home with her family.
